Dr Harbhajan Singh Award


 

This prestigious award has been instituted by the ISPGR in the memory of Late Padma Shri Dr Harbhajan Singh, referred to as the Indian Vavilov and Father of PGR in India. The award is a lifetime achievement award, given biennially to eminent scientists who have made outstanding contributions in the field of Plant Genetic Resources with special reference to India. It carries a sum of Rs 1,50,000 in cash, citation and plaque.
